Keeton threw open the door, propelled himself out of the car, and strode straight up to his peeved lover. “What the fuck was that for?”

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” Logan countered. “I told you not to leave the house!”

“I’m not a fucking child, nor am I a prisoner. I’m not even a fucking princess you can lock inside the highest tower.” Keeton had moved past the point of yelling and right on to screeching, but there was no stopping now. “And even if I were, you are supposed to be the knight that comes and rescues me. Not the troll that put me there in the first place!”

“This is ridiculous.” Keeton yelped when Logan lifted him off his feet without warning and threw him over one heavily muscled shoulder. “You are not going anywhere, so just shut up, put on your big girl panties, and deal with it, Your Highness.”

That’s it. Keeton completely lost his shit. He began kicking and screaming, beating on Logan’s rock-hard back with his fists. “Put me down, asshole! I can go anywhere I want. I swear, I’m going to kick your ass!”

He yelped again when he felt himself flying through the air and abruptly deposited on the front porch. “Oh ho, going to kick my ass, huh?” Logan smirked. “You and what army, little man?”

Keeton didn’t know what came over him. He had never been more pissed off at anyone in his life. He glared up at his mate for a split second before his fist shot out, seemingly of its own accord, and connected squarely with Logan’s nose.

“Oww!” He had never hit anyone before. It hurt like hell. Cradling his hand to his chest, he glared at his lover again. It was all Logan’s fault anyway.

The glare quickly slid off his face, and he slapped his left hand over his mouth. Blood ran profusely from Logan’s nose, dribbling over his mouth and down his chin to soak his shirt. “Oh crap,” Keeton breathed through his fingers.

Logan pulled his shirt off and mopped the blood from his face. He gingerly fingered his battered nose before turning a menacing glare on Keeton. “You broke my nose, you little shit!”

“Oh crap,” Keeton whispered again before darting off the porch and around the side of the house.
