FORBIDDEN MOON [BE-WARE 2]

COMING MAY 11TH

BeWare 1: Mating Moon
Buy Now!

Adam Anderson must put aside his broken heart for his Pack. Taking on a dangerous mission deep within the mountains is a step in the right direction. When Adam is severely injured, he is rescued by a lone shifter with a past as troubled as his own. What evolves from there is a romance that awakens feelings he hasn’t had since the death of his mate.

After his pack’s betrayal, Cersin Everett swore never to trust again. He resigned himself to a solitary life far away from both pack and past. However, a hunting trip turned rescue mission brings him a man that can teach him what it means to hope again.

As Sin shows Adam his world, it becomes harder for them to deny their growing feelings. But theirs is a forbidden match, an unmated pairing. They will have to either surrender to their newfound love or be torn apart by the world outside the sanctuary of Sin’s home.

STORY EXCERPT

“Thank you, Sin,” Adam whispered.

“For what?” Sin gave him a false look of innocence and turned to meet his gaze.

Adam rolled his eyes. “For saving me, you asshole.”

Sin took a step closer. “Now is that any way to speak to your Master?” He was so close now that Adam could feel Sin’s breath on his skin. The playful atmosphere of the room changed as their eyes locked and Sin’s scent surrounded him. He smelled of fire and earth and the wolf inside Adam howled in delight. Adam bit down on his lip to keep from making the sound aloud.

“I’m not some submissive male to be bossed around,” Adam said with defiance.

“I know,” Sin agreed. He had a smug look on his face that was beginning  to irritate Adam.
He crossed his arms over his chest and tore his gaze away from Sin’s before he said something he regretted.

“Well good, I’m glad we agree,” Adam replied instead.

“You’re still my submissive though.” Adam would’ve argued that point if Sin’s voice hadn’t been filled with a promise of lustful intentions. He wrapped an arm around Adam’s waist and pulled him to his chest.. “Kiss me.”

The words were spoken as an order. It was a test to see if Adam would obey. Butterflies filled Adam’s stomach as the seconds passed. He was unsure of what to do. Adam wanted to kiss Sin as much as a parched man wanted a sip of water, but the thought of showing any kind of vulnerability wasn't something Adam was used to. Last night had been a onetime thing, right?

“Kiss me now, pup. I’m not a very patient person.” Sin let out a low growl as his turquoise eyes stared down at him. Adam swallowed his nervousness. His lips parted and he pressed them against Sin’s. Almost instantly, Sin took control of the kiss, pushing Adam’s lips further apart for more access to his mouth. Adam moaned as his tongue swirled against Sin’s. God he couldn’t get enough of this man. He wrapped his arms around Sin’s neck, deepening their kiss with every passing second. His cock was already hard and eager for Sin. Never in his life had he felt such desire for another person.

Sin pushed him back down, breaking their kiss with a low chuckle. “Easy, Were, we have plenty of time for that later.”

Adam glared up at him. “You started it,” he reminded.

“And now I’m finishing it before I lose control and do something we both might regret.” Sin moved away from him and walked over to his bookshelf.

Isn't it a little late for that?” Adam questioned as he adjusted the stiffness between his thighs. Just fucking great. Adam sat down on the throw rug in front of the fire and waited for Sin to come back.

“If your referring to last night, then probably, but I have something I want to share with you.” Sin pulled out some old dusty book off the shelf. Adam watched the taller man intently. He was a large muscular man even compared to Adam, and Adam was not one of those scrawny shifters. In fact, Adam’s own build and extraordinary power were part of the reason why most people in his Pack avoided him. They didn't know how to take him. It was a well-known fact that despite Adam’s commanding personality and his impressive combat skills, he had submissive cravings, but he was not a Were easily won over. After Tristan, Adam didn't take another lover. He never allowed anyone to embrace his darker desires… until now. It was odd to him that one fateful meeting could change a person’s life. He never would have been this unguarded with anyone in his Pack, and they were family to him. When he was with Sin though, he was… different.

Sin lay down next to him and Adam turned his head so he could look at the book Sin had brought with him.

“So what is it you wish to show me?” Adam asked. He smiled warmly to himself as he thought about how odd this moment would seem to anyone who knew him. They would never have guessed that Adam Christian Anderson, Head Enforcer of the East Side Pack, could be capable of such affectionate and intimate moments. He was always a rock. He never showed emotion, not even when Tristan had left him.

“It’s nothing much really. I just wanted to read you one of my favorite poems.” Adam eyed the big bad wolf with suspicion.

“You read poetry?” Adam raised his eyebrows, giving him a disbelieving stare. Sin wrapped his arm around Adam’s shoulders.

“Shut up, pup. Don’t judge me,” Sin said with a smile as he ruffled Adam’s mess of hair before pulling him to his chest.

“No judgment.” Adam grinned. He was totally judging him.

ADULT EXCERPT

“Are you ready for me, pup?” Sin’s voice called from somewhere behind him.

“Yes, Master. I’m ready.” Adam barely got the words out before the first sting of what felt like the tails of a flogger slashed across his back. Adam’s muscles tensed almost instantaneously as a wave of defiance and anger coursed through his veins.

Easy, pup, breathe through your emotions,” Sin said as though he could feel the conflict rising in Adam. “It’s natural to want to fight against it at first. Just keep breathing and focus on relaxing your muscles. It’ll be worth it, trust me.”

Trust was something Adam had a hard time with, especially when the animal inside him was raging with rebelliousness. Adam took a deep breath, trying to do as his Master commanded. The second strike came much more smoothly to Adam as he let the pain wash over him, embracing it instead of fighting against it.. The third and fourth strikes quickly followed not allowing Adam time to overanalyze the situation. Over and over again Sin struck, marking his back with the welts he could feel forming. The pain wracked his body as every nerve ending felt like fire blazing across his skin. Adam’s world began to spin as he let go of his need to be in control.

With every lash he felt, Adam spiraled farther and farther downward getting lost in the sea of pain. The beast inside him was no longer raging with defiance as it had been moments ago. Instead, it welcomed the relief that Adam had only ever been able to feel in this moment.

As the intensity of the flogger beating against his back increased, Adam was finding it hard to maintain any thread of thought. Nothing mattered as his mind floated off, allowing his body, soul, and mind to feel only the rush of endorphins as they released with every stripe added to his flesh.

When the beating ceased, Adam wasn’t sure. It had felt like hours to him. Sin ran his fingertips lightly against the welts that marked Adam’s backside. He whimpered in protest at the burning sensation that followed with every touch. Adam’s body was shaking now, his muscles tried to steady him in his current position.
“Did you like that, Slave?” Sin’s voice washed over him as his fingertip pressed on a particularly sensitive welt. He enjoyed the way his Master touched him, pain or not. Adam was beyond reason, beyond cognitive thought. All he could feel was Sin’s hands on him. For the first time in his life, Adam surrendered completely to his desires.

“Yes Master,” He breathed the words like a prayer. “Fuck me, touch me, beat me.. Give me everything and more.”

Adam was babbling now as he arched his back closer to Sin. At some point during the session, something had shifted inside him until his wants and desires no longer mattered. He only wanted to please Sin. Adam wanted nothing more than for Cersin Everett to use him up until there was no room left for the hurt he’d been hiding for so long. All the painful memories of his time with Tristan, of the death of Charlie’s father, of the horrors he’d witnessed as everyone he loved died, he wanted Sin to take them all away until there was nothing left.

“All right then, Slave, since you asked so nicely, go get on the bed and lay on your back.” Sin’s tone was filled with lust, and Adam’s cock jumped in eagerness. Adam didn’t care what Sin did to him as long as he didn’t stop touching him.

INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW

If you could spend a day with one of your characters, who would it be and why?
It would have to be Akira. He’s a hot mess and a lot of fun. Definitely a party worthy friend who knows how to get into some trouble! Not to mention an excellent dancer. He’d totally be my first choice for a night out on the town.
Are you plot or character driven? Please elaborate.
A little of both, although as of right now the plot has been determining the main sequence of events for the next two books in the series. The characters just happen to fall into place. I think for Mating Moon, though it was definitely driven by Night and Akira. It didn’t matter what plot details were going on in the background, all that mattered was their time together on paper. That’s what I liked most about that particular book.
What is the one thing you must have to be able to write?
Sleep. If I am sleep deprived you can forget it. My brain shuts off and my muse refuses to speak to me. It’s horrible because I would rather go without sleep and get my manuscript done!
What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
When I want to write and can’t either because I’m having to work on something else or my laptop is in the shop. The latter is the case right now and of course my muse is all ready to go with this next story. I have the sneaking suspicion that when I do get my computer back in the next few weeks, my muse will suddenly stop talking to me. Such is the life of a writer I guess!
