Hello all the lovelies on Gabrielle's Blog!
I'm Jana Downs and I have hijacked the lovely Mrs. Evans' space for the duration of the day. *cackles evilly* So, buckle your seat belts and prepare to be entertained. If you behave throughout the show, you might just get a prize at the end of it and, since I have taken Gabrielle prisoner, there is much in the goodie bag. I'm like Bowser from Mario, my fellow video game nerdies will get the reference, I have popped in to create havoc (Sorry, Gabrielle, that makes you Princess Peach).
My first Gabrielle Evans experience was with her Fatefully Yours series. I am all about Echo and his band of merry hellspawn. *sighs* They were yummy. Here was my thoughts when I read book one:
I wanted to know - could this author pull off a book with 8 guys in it?
7 kinds of demons and 1 psychic human is a lot to handle.
*Reads eagerly*
short answer......Yes !
Long answer..........Hell yes !!
I smiled, I grinned, I adored the sex scenes.
Annnd I so wasn't the only one.
Ready for Goodies???
Inquiring minds want to know...What was your first Gabrielle Evans experience and what got you hooked? Leave your answer as a comment below along with your email address for a chance to win. Your winnings will be a surprise chosen by yours truly. Contest will end June 5th at Midnight. Good Luck!
p.s. I'd follow Gabrielle's blog carefully from now on...I might be dropping by again to cause more trouble soon.
XoXo
Jana
My first experience? Fatefully Yours.
ReplyDeleteBut what got me hooked? That was definitely Moonlight Breed (and further the Haven series). I love the guys and the small terror mates with their sweet personalities and glimts in the eyes.
I have always had a sweet spot for shifter stories, but a lot of them are very much alike. Ms. Evans managed to grab my love for shifters and turn it into something more with her moonlighters. Needless to say, I was hooked on the big macho men and their protective personalities. ;o)
Besides that, the series has so many lovely secondary characters, you cannot help but be hooked on every book! - and you want them all to have their happy ending. Mmmmm.
Best,
Astrid

Fire and Ash, then I tore through her other books. I've read almost all of them now.

P.S. I love you has Bowser, better him then Wario. :P And Gabrielle as Princess Peach, we need to get her the Self Rescuing Princess shirt, because I doubt she'd wait for stinking Mario to save her. ;)
DeleteI honestly can't remember which of her books was my first, but I enjoy all of her series, especially the Gods of Chaos and Moonlighter books.
ReplyDeleteMy first experience with Gabrielle was 'Leap of Faith', the first in the Moonlighters series. I was hooked by Xander and Braxton's romance, right away. I could not stop reading the series, which spawned another series, Haven. All of the Moonlighters world that one can handle; it's like a buffet!! I want to thank Gabrielle for helping me to believe that true love can still exist, even if you are an older guy (I'm in my mid 40s)!
ReplyDeleteHugs!

My first experience with Gabrielle Evans's work was "Leap of Faith" the first book in the Moonlight Breed series...I think I read it the first time about 2 years ago. First of all, I love shifters, so it's a given that I would love this series...but the twist, the white pelted shifters, is unique and fun. And I absolutely LOVE Braxton. He's a spitfire, strong in his own right. It's a great series.

She had me at Moonlight Breed. Fell head over heels for the characters and gave read every book Gabrielle has written since.
ReplyDeleteFatefully Yours was the first series. It was last Christmas time and I was looking for a series to grab me. Dark Devotion kept popping up on my Amazon Recommends list. Plus I saw Lest We Forget on Siren's website and loved the cover. So I checked out the series. 8 hot men in one relationship, intrigued but a little hesitant. I decided to give first book a try. I devoured all 9 of the original books and had to wait several days for Lest We Forget to publish. After that I got Moonlight Breed and just kept going!!

My first was By The Light of the Moon. I went back and read a Leap of Faith. I love both Braxton and Keaton. They get into a lot of trouble but they are so loyal. If more people were like that in this world then I honestly believe there wouldn't be as much fighting. I have been hooked on her writing since almost the beginning. I have yet to read a book of hers that I don't love. I am looking forward to so many more books from her.

p.s. I agree with Sheri. I can't see Gabrielle waiting around for a guy to save her like Princess Peach always did.
My first taste of Gabrielle's writing was Fire and Ash. I enjoyed it so much I had to read more of her work. I found her The Moonlight Breed series. I was hooked by the time I finished reading Leap of Faith. I have now read most of her works and I have never been disappointed, bored, or unable to thoroughly enjoy any of her books.

p.s. I can totally see Cain and the boys being your Koopas.
My First Book I read of her's was Leap of Faith. I love the Moonlight Breed and Heaven. I also really like the Fatefully Yours series.

I started with fatefully Yours and liked the series, but the Moonlight Breed made me keep her on my auto buy list. Love her
ReplyDeleteI have been reading Gabrielle's since the very beginning, so my first was 'Leap of Faith' and I have been hooked on her books ever since. I love Braxton and Keaton from this series, they are just too cute and mischievous. I also fell in love with the twist on the Moonlighter Breed, it was just so unique and different that the whole package just had me hooked. Then we had Haven and Fatefully Yours and so many more awesome books that I just can't put them down :)
ReplyDeleteMy first Evans Experience was Gods of Chaos 1. I love Fashion and just reading the blurb I was hooked because of Rayne. At First I thought the the whole book was about fashion and modeling and that the title was just an eye catcher and then when Gordost appeared I just knew Rayne was getting it...The punishment.:D But What got me was the sacrifice he made for Dante right there and then I knew Miss Evans Had Gained a new Fan.

I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to participate in the take over. I am supposed to be all damsel in distressy or something like that, after all. But I just wanted to pop in and say thank you to everyone for your awesome comments! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteOh, and just so we know, I would kick Bowser's backside. I'm scary. Rawr! See? *nods* Scary.
First experience was Brac pack. What hooked me was the Moonlight Breed series. Loved that these feared and thrown away shifters had banded together and got to find their other half. sigh..

Oh my when I read all those comments - I feel like I missed out on something. I have to admit I don't think I ever read a book by her. Well I will just add the anme to my ever growing list.

After reading the first two books of Gabrielle's Monnlight Breed (they were the only books at the time I think that were published) and from there I was just waiting patiently for my fix.

My first... hm, that was probably The Moonlight Breed series. I've never looked back. after the first few books of that series, I quickly tackled all of her other works.. that is, excluding her MF. :P heh... no girly bits for me. I'm really not in the mood of reading MF books any time soon.
ReplyDeleteHer Fatefully Yours series made her an instant buy. For now and always~ <3

It would be Splash and Elegance (Midnight Matings), which was fun to read.
