Welcome Shannon Reckler!

Shannon Reckler is a southern girl at heart, who grew up in a small town in North Carolina. She currently is finishing college, and living in the mountains. Her feline, Ember, keeps her company while she is up late trying to finish whatever story is locked in her mind. She is passionate about writing as well as cooking. Nothing means more to her than her family and friends, and she can’t wait to return to her hometown someday. Shannon is a true hopeless romantic and believes in a soul mate for everyone, and that you should love as much as you possibly can. She knows life is short, and feels that there is no point in wasting it on a life you don’t want to live, so she plans to have fun and enjoy every moment.

STORY EXCERPT
She took a step out into her bedroom and finally decided to face the two men that were still sleeping in her bed.
Hunk number 1, the one farthest away from her, was lying on his back with one arm outstretched. She remembered waking up with a lump under her head, and she guessed it had probably been his arm. His other arm was above his head, with his face turned toward the window. His skin was tanned, and she guessed he probably had some foreign blood in him. He had black hair that was cut short, high cheekbones, full lips and a more pointed nose.
He was definitely built in the muscles department, with an outie belly button accompanying his six-pack abs. His hips V-ed into an impressive cock that was lying flaccid on his thigh. His right leg was bent, and she could see his balls lying in between his legs. She was impressed that he was completely clean shaven. His legs were covered in a fine dusting of black hair, and even his feet were neat and clean.
Kyra bit her lips as she thought about how impressive his penis would be when it was hard. As if he felt her stare, his cock twitched and she almost felt guilty for staring. But a quick peek at both of their faces, and the soft snore that greeted her ears, told her that they were both still passed out.
Hunk number 2 was curled into the middle of the bed, like he had been holding her or was hoping she would return. Because of where she was standing, she couldn’t see his face. His hair was brown and shaggy, with a slight curl in the back. His back was muscled and lean, he seemed thinner than Hunk 1, but only slightly. His butt was shapely, and Kyra resisted the urge to caress it. She had always been a sucker for a man with an amazing ass.
Hunk 2 started to shift, and she decided to head out into the living room. She needed to find her purse and her cell phone. She quietly opened her bedroom door and shook her head at the scattering of clothes that lined her hallway.
When she found her bra, she noticed that it wasn’t just lying on the floor, but it was in two different pieces.
Seriously, what happened last night?
By this time, she was practically running into the kitchen of her apartment. It was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom place with a large living area that opened up into her kitchen as well. In the small entryway of her apartment, she found her purse lying on the table by the door. She sent up a prayer as she fished out her cell phone. She hit speed dial 3, and her phone was instantly ringing Lidia.
After a few rings, she received a groggy greeting. “What?”
“Lidia, it’s Kyra. Wake up.” Kyra moved to stand in the kitchen at the counter. Her eyes bugged as she caught a glimpse of her microwave and realized it was after 1:00 p.m. A rustling on the other end of the phone brought her back to the conversation.
“Kyra, my hero, how are the two gorgeous men?” Lidia whispered into the phone.
“Why are you whispering? And you mean to tell me you know who the men in my apartment are?”
Kyra heard more rustling, and then a door close before Lidia spoke again. “I was whispering, because although I didn’t get to leave with two gorgeous men, I still left with one and he is sleeping. And, of course I know who the men are. I tried to set you up with them and it worked.”
Kyra didn’t know how to react. “You tried to set me up with two men?” Her voice squeaked as she finished the sentence.
“I did, and you should be thanking me for it. Were they as fantastic as they look?” Lidia made a mock-growl sound and Kyra put a hand to her face.
“I don’t know, Lidia. I can’t remember a damn thing. The last thing I remember was dancing with the grabby accountant who had no moves.”
She heard a not-so-delicate snort come from her friend, and then she began to laugh out loud.
“Lidia, seriously. This is not funny. I have two naked men in my bed, and I don’t know how they got there. Why in the hell would I bring home two men? I have never done something like that in my entire life. I don’t even know if I have ever even thought about doing two men at once. And now hunk 1 and 2 are naked and snoring in my bed.” All of the panic that had been building inside of her released in one breath. Unfortunately, it just made Lidia laugh even harder.

ADULT EXCERPT
Jake winked at her. “Kyra, are you sure about this?”
“I am definitely sure. Now, I was hoping you would join me in bed.” She grinned. Gavin looked over at Jake, and they nodded to each other. Kyra watched in fascination as they both slipped their thumbs into the waistband of their jeans. Jake went first, stripping the denim down his legs. When he stood up, she was given the first full glimpse of his body.
He was gorgeous. His legs were toned and muscular, just like the rest of him. She couldn’t stop from licking her lips at the sight of his cock protruding stiff and proudly from his body. He was definitely impressive in size, and even from a few feet away she could see the veins roping his penis. It twitched slightly under her gaze, and she smiled seductively up at him, before she turned her attention to Gavin, who was patiently waiting.
Although he was shorter, Gavin wasn’t any less impressive. He had an easy smile on his face as he leisurely stripped his jeans from his legs. He moved slowly, giving her more of a show and she was grateful. When he stood up she had to suck in a breath. Gavin’s dick was more than impressive. Not only was he wide in girth, but he was probably at least an inch longer than Jake, who was impressive in his own right.
Kyra felt a rush of moisture hit her pussy, and she clenched her thighs together. She crooked her finger, and they both stepped forward. Jake crawled onto the bed in front of her, and Gavin moved around to slide in behind her. She was immediately surrounded by warmth.
As if reading her thoughts, Gavin whispered in her ear, “We run a higher body temperature than humans. We will always keep you warm at night.” He brushed her hair off of her neck and placed a soft kiss to her shoulder. Kyra shivered in response.
She smiled up at Jake, and began to unbutton his shirt. She had just passed her breasts, when she paused. She had the epitome of male perfection sitting in front of her, and her inner demons got the best of her.
Kyra looked up at Jake and bit her lip. She tried for a smile, but it didn’t quite work. Jake raised a hand to her cheek. “Kyra, you are beautiful. Stop whatever it is that you are thinking about. We saw your body last night, and unlike you we can remember everything.” He winked at her before he reached for the shirt. “Here, let me.” He pushed her hands aside and finished unbuttoning the shirt.
She couldn’t look up at Jake, so she watched his hands as he skillfully unbuttoned the rest of her shirt. Once it was undone, Gavin slipped the shirt down her arms. Kyra helped him take it fully off, before he tossed it on the floor.
Gavin placed a kiss on her shoulder and she leaned in, brushing the top of his head with her cheek. She looked up at Jake from underneath her eyelashes and he was smiling down at her. She reached out and he slid closer to her, placing a kiss on her opposite shoulder. Then he moved his mouth and sought her lips with his own.
She moaned at the feel of his soft lips, and he instantly took advantage of the opening. He swept his tongue inside her mouth and took full control of the kiss. She placed her hand on his side and grazed the muscles she had access to. Jake pulled away all too soon, but she became aware of Gavin’s hands rubbing circles on her back.
“You two are amazing.” Kyra smiled first at Jake and then she turned to smile at Gavin.
“Honey, you haven’t seen anything yet.” Gavin gently pulled her back so that she was lying in the middle of the bed with her head resting on the pillow. Gavin lay on her left side, and Jake on her right.
Kyra could barely contain her excitement as they both reached out and laid a hand on her stomach. Their cocks brushed her hip and her pussy clenched. She reached down and took both of their cocks in her hand. A rush of air hit both of her cheeks as they exhaled together.
“You are playing with fire, baby.” Jake’s whispered words sent chills down her spine, and made her squirm on the sheets.
“I’m pretty sure I want to get burned.”

BEHIND THE SCENES
Where do you see publishing going in the future?
I think that publishing will be going more and more into the ebook world. I love print books, but with the technology of the day and the cheaper price of the books and the publishing cost, I think books are just going to be going more and more into ebooks.

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?
My intended audience is anyone who loves to read. I hope they want to read my books because they are looking for a good love story and want a new author to read.

How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
My titles usually have something to do with the work. The titles of the series usually come from the people or the towns they live in.

Tell us a little bit about your cover art. Who designed it? Why did you go with that particular image/artwork?
The three covers of the books that I have published with Siren Publishing, the covers have been designed by Harris Channing.

Who is your favorite character from your book and why?
I love Daphne from 'Velvet and Lace'. I love how positive she is about herself and how she lives her life for her. She is such a strong women and I admire her.

How about your least favorite character?  What makes them less appealing to you?
I don't know if I have a least favorite character. I have characters who aren't as strong as others, but I believe that they will get their moment in the sun so to speak.

If you could change one thing about your novel, what would it be?  Why?
I wish my novels had gone through a little more editing, there are still a few typos in them.

Give us an interesting fun fact or a few about your book or series.
My new book is my first ménage piece. It started as a very short piece to be a part of an anthology, but that didn't work so I lengthened the piece to submit it on it's own and be a stand-alone books.

What other books are similar to your own?  What makes them alike?
My Slayer series has been compared to Sherilynn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series because it has Greek mythology in it, and vampires. I love her work and her books. I think my books are different and I love the strong female leads in mine, rather than a series focused around the male characters, but I like the comparison.
